OKETO adds Miami Beach to its international network of meeting locations, creating an additional point of connection in the United States for existing and prospective business partners.

Located on Collins Avenue, the meeting location offers a setting for pre-arranged conversations in South Florida. It reflects OKETO’s focus on developing relationships across Europe and North America and bringing together sponsors, operators, capital partners and professional advisers.

Miami’s rise as Wall Street South

Miami offers a distinctive combination of an international financial community, connections across the Americas and Europe, and a coastal setting. Its growing role as a destination for investment firms and financial talent has helped establish its reputation as “Wall Street South.”

The scale of this shift is visible in major industry commitments. In June 2022, Ken Griffin’s Citadel and Citadel Securities announced the relocation of their global headquarters from Chicago to Miami. Citadel’s new Brickell headquarters plans provide for 1.2 million square feet of office space and tenant amenities for the firm and other tenants.

JPMorganChase announced in June 2024 plans to expand its downtown Miami offices from 80,000 to 160,000 square feet, with capacity for 400 additional employees. Private equity firm Thoma Bravo signed a long-term lease in 2021 for approximately 36,500 square feet at 830 Brickell, establishing its Miami office as part of the firm’s expansion.

The wider South Florida financial community also includes Goldman Sachs and BlackRock, both with Miami offices, and Elliott Investment Management, headquartered in West Palm Beach. Point72 opened its Miami office in 2021 and its West Palm Beach office in 2022; in March 2026, the firm reported more than 100 employees in the region.

Florida’s tax framework is another part of the region’s business appeal: no state personal income tax and no state estate tax under current law. Its general corporate income tax rate is 5.5% on Florida net income, subject to applicable exemptions and adjustments.

For OKETO, this concentration of financial expertise and international relationships makes Miami Beach a relevant meeting point for conversations about cross-border opportunities, strategic partnerships and private capital.

Connecting markets and relationships

OKETO’s international outlook is built around connections in both directions. Discussions may explore opportunities for European partners in the United States, as well as U.S. interest in European markets, alongside strategic partnerships, co-sponsorships and joint ventures.

The aim is to create a broader network for exchanging perspectives, introducing relevant counterparties and exploring where complementary experience and interests can come together. Miami Beach provides another meeting point within that network.

Any potential collaboration or transaction is considered separately and remains subject to review, appropriate documentation and applicable requirements.
